Action
Small groups will be used during trainings by having teachers from 2 cohorts participate. Support staff will be evenly distributed in each sessions. Each training will have no more than 15 participants. This will allow for more collaboration between teachers and presenter during the training.
Staff development will take place in the library using the school's COW, which provides 20 internet ready computers. This will allow teachers to be actively engaged in the training since they will be following along and participate in the creating process.
Trainings will take place once at the end of each six weeks. Each training will introduce a new Web 2.0 tool that could be incorpated in their lessons. Also, teachers will be give time to express any concerns or questions they may have over the training or anything technology related.
Technology support staff will work closely with teachers through out the six weeks to assist them with any questions and to ensure teachers are incorportating what they have learned in the trainings into their classrooms.
